Why "Old Sealey Elementary School in Tallahassee" was Created

It started with a Yahoo Group web site for the 40th reunion of our Leon High School class of 1966. Ken Rice and others uploaded their elementary school pictures to show what we looked like way back then. It was so much fun for us to look at those old pictures. So I decided to create "Old Sealey Elementary School in Tallahassee" to share the pictures from Sealey with others and to preserve the memory of the old school. The collection of pictures are mainly of the classes in which either my brother Mike, Ken Rice, or myself attended. So the collection is far from complete. And unlike Ken, I didn’t keep my classroom pictures, so I called the new Sealey School and found out about the collection they have. Their collection is not complete either but they have a lot more than I chose to copy at the time. Pictures also came from Internet groups on Facebook and Yahoo. These Internet discussions groups were also the main source for the names assigned to the pictures. Therefore some of the names may not be correct. If you find any errors or want to add new pictures or names please let me know. I’m hopeful that visitors to the site will write to me and help identify more kids in the pictures. Also hope people will contribute more old pictures, stories and ideas that I can add to the web site.
